Children Opportunities

Sunday school classes

  • We have 2 classes that meet every Sunday during the school year from 9:15-10:15am. Here children will be greeted by two teachers eagerly waiting to share with them about Jesus through stories and crafts.
  • Pre-k/K (3 years old – K): Room 212
  • Journey of Faith (1st-5th grade): Social Hall

Jr. Disciples youth group

  • Our younger children, Kindergarten-5th grade, can participate in a youth group that includes high energy games, music, an emphasis on missions, and Bible stories and memory verses that help kids apply Bible truths to real life.
  • We meet on 1st and 3rd Sundays 5:30-7:30pm September-April  

VBS

  • Every year our members look forward to a crazy week in June filled with laughter, games, crafts and stories about Jesus as we help teach children from the community about Jesus. We offer this to children ages 3 years old to 5th grade. For parents or older children, we are always looking for new volunteers.
  • Camp Bethany is located in Lakeville, Ohio. The staff is comprised of volunteers from our church and the other Moravian churches in the valley. They gather in August to bring a week of cherished memories for our children to build lasting friendships as they grow closer to God.
  • Open to those finishing 2nd-6th grade

Youth Opportunities

Sunday school classes

  • We have 2 classes that meet every Sunday during the school year from 9:15-10:15am. Here students will be greeted by two teachers who want to teach them about the Bible and how to apply it to their lives and dealing with issues as teenagers.
  • Middle School (6th-8th grade): Room 214
  • Senior High (9th-12th grade): Basement Youth Room

Youth group

  • We have a great group of leaders who love to have fun
  • 6th-12th grade
  • 1st and 3rd Sundays 5:30-7:30pm Sept-April
  • Lots of fun themed activities

Camps & Retreats

  • Our Junior High and Senior High students have many opportunities to join other Moravians from Ohio, lower Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois to build lasting friendships as they grow closer to God.

Adult Opportunities

Sunday school classes

  • Our Sunday school classes meet each Sunday during the school year from 9:15-10:15am. We have three different classes.
  • The Seekers class generally study deeper into the different books of the Bible.
  • Grounds of Faith class apply faith to daily living and current events.
  • Seeds of Faith class gather around coffee and spend time in fellowship.

Small Group/Bible Studies 

  • Business Leaders Small Group- Tuesday 7 p.m. Rm 213
  • Open to business/community leaders
  • Morning Glories- Wednesday: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Rm 213
  • They meet weekly to try to understand and embrace the messages of the Bible. They are currently studying the message of Matthew and next will be Advent. 

Bible Study 

  • This Bible study group meets on Sunday evenings and are currently studying Dr. Charles Stanley’s “Relying on the Holy Spirit.” In this study, Dr. Charles F. Stanley explains that when you learn to rely on the Holy Spirit, you become more like Christ, your confidence level goes up, and God pours out His blessings on your life.

 

Men’s

Men’s Small Group – Wednesday 7 p.m. Living Room
 Ecumenical Men’s Fellowship Breakfast- One Saturday a month

Women’s

Moravian Women’s Bible Studies

  • The Moravian Women have 2 Bible studies available to the women in our community.
  • “The Tender Warrior- the Life of David” by Dr. David Jeremiah- 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
  • In this study, Dr. David Jeremiah introduces us to a man who ultimately learned firsthand about the tender mercies of his God.
  • Book of Genesis-by Nancy Chandler- Last Monday of the month at 6:30p.m.
  • Nancy Chandler, of Hope Moravian Church, has written the 2017-2018 Moravian Women’s Faith Development Study on the Book of Genesis.
